Download
Download the latest version of xChess which is recommended for most cases. It requires Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.6 or higher and GNU Chess Engine 5.07 . GNU Chess Engine is available in compiled binary form for many Unix distribution. Java Development Kit (JDK) is required to build xChess from source files. To verify the integrity of downloaded files, calculate the MD5 Sum of each files and compare with the provided MD5 Sum here.

Subversion Checkout
In order to access a Subversion repository, a software called Subversion client
